Kickout Flashing

Posted on

Kickout flashing, diverts roof runoff away from roof walls and into the gutters. It’s necessary to protect water from penetrating and entering the home.  Installed properly, it can make all the difference when managing your roof’s health.  Without kickout flashings, the home is subject to major issues.

Left: Poorly installed and too short.  Notice all the caulk.  Water still penetrated even with the caulk.  Right: Double flashing manages water away from roof walls.
